October 20th
On October 20 we are having a booth at the Mickel Middle School health fair with John's Uncle. John's uncle Dan did this last year also. We will be handing out pamphlets, bracelets, showing a video, displaying CTF/NF shirts/backpacks/and other stuff. We also have a posterboard that describes NF1, NF2 and Schwanommatosis. Stop by if you can, it's from 5:30 to 7:30. If you hear of any opportunities to do this type of thing please let us know. It's a great way to raise awareness.
Food will be available also, the Waffle Man will be there, the price for food last year was very reasonable, I assume it will be this year too.
Another fund raising opportunity, Tara Bartek has access to an online auction site and was very successful with it to raise money for Relay for Life. We are going to use this to raise money for NF. We would like to ask for your help with donated items, the more items the more $ for research. Any items would be great & appreciated - homemade crafts, baskets, gift certificates, misc. donations from businesses, anything. If you are interested in helping with this please contact us (a2schafer@windstream.net) or Tara ( Tara_Bartek@hotmail.com ) .
